Taupo:
Buzzing with cafes and restaurants, Taupo is set amongst dramatic mountains and spectacular, unspoiled country. The town is built around the biggest fresh water lake in New Zealand, which was created by the largest volcanic eruption in 5000 years.
A wide range of experiences are on offer here: from volcanic sightseeing and tours, to skiing and water activities, and more relaxing cultural experiences.

Auckland:
Auckland is New Zealand’s biggest city, with a population of over 1.3 million. It is widely known as the “City of Sails” because of its high-profile involvement in yachting.
Attractions abound, and include: markets, museums, parks, gardens, Auckland Zoo, indoor karts, theme parks and the Sky Tower. There are many kinds of adventure experiences on offer, too, such as: cycling, bungy jumping, helicopter rides, kayaking, horse riding, sky diving and harbour cruises. And on the water, you can choose from boat cruises and tours, diving, sailing or fishing.
About 20km out of Auckland is Waiheke Island. Here, the climate is well-suited to growing grapes, and the island hosts some impressive wineries.

Waikato:
The Waikato is a region of stunning natural beauty: visit the mountains, majestic waterfalls, hot mineral pools, beaches, and the limestone glowworm caves in Waitomo. Also watch out for the annual V8 Supercars street race.
